IT’S TIME TO UNFAT YOURSELF The food and nutrition system is a failure. 2/3 of Americans are obese or overweight. In some cases, obesity is as high as 50%. I just learned this one — worldwide obesity has tripled since 1975! The system is broken, but nobody is admitting it. We’re still being force fed the same bullshit that got us here in the first place. It didn’t used to be this way, and it doesn’t have to be this way.
Have been searching your site for more info behind your food pyramid, specifically info about quinoa (which isn't mentioned but implied, I think), oats, and beans/legumes . . . and why these are all on your dessert list...?
Can you give some examples of healthy breakfasts? I usually have eggs and gluten free toast with butter, oatmeal/muesli (slow cooked) or a green smoothie. Are bananas dressert..?
Great question, and you are already on a good start. Your macros are protein + fat + carb, all with as little processing as possible. Ideally no processing at all.
Eggs and butter are a champ protein and fat combination.
I think your carb sources need work though. Your gluten free bread is processed to remove the gluten. Oatmeal is processed and can be problematic. If you want bread, go for a legit sourdough.
Otherwise, fruit is the all time carb MVP and should be preferred always, and potatoes and white rice are excellent too.
This post rocks.
